Emergency dental care
Sudden toothache or another urgent dental issue? We understand you want help as soon as possible. During our opening hours, we do our best to schedule emergency appointments the same day. Outside our hours, you can contact Dental365.
When is it a dental emergency?
Please contact a dentist immediately if you experience:
- Severe toothache or pain
- A bleeding wound that won’t stop
- A knocked-out tooth or serious dental injury
- Swelling in the cheek or a throbbing sensation
Common emergency situations
Severe pain
Tooth pain can have many causes. Always call if the pain is intense. The dentist will assess whether treatment is needed or if pain relief is enough. Children with pain are always seen as soon as possible.
Bleeding that won’t stop
After a tooth extraction, you should bite on gauze to stop the bleeding. If the bleeding continues or restarts, contact the emergency dentist immediately.
Knocked-out tooth or trauma
A fall, blow, or accident can damage your teeth or mouth. Call quickly — in some cases, the tooth can be reinserted.
Swollen cheek or throbbing pain
This may indicate a serious infection. Swollen lymph nodes, difficulty swallowing or breathing are signs that urgent care is needed.
